La casa è stata acquistata per corrispondenza in fascicoli periodici editi da Del Prado comprenderti fogli di legno di balsa con sagome per mobili ed elementi strutturali da ritagliare e assemblare, insieme a carte da parati e cartoncino per il tetto.
Tutti i mobili sono stati costruiti a mano ritagliando le singole sagome dai fogli di balsa, poi assemblate e incollate e infine colorati i mobili finiti con tempere.
Anche la struttura è stata ritagliata dai fogli pre-sagomati e incollata. Le stanze sono poi state rivestite con carte da parati e pavimenti. Le finestre sono invece state inserite ad incastro e decorate con tendine di pizzo. Il tetto è composto da singole file di “tegoline” di cartoncino sovrapposte a contrasto l’una sull’altra. Anche le scale sono state create pezzo per pezzo e poi incollate e posizionate così come i due camini prima montati e poi colorati con tempere colorate.
La facciate frontale è stata decorata infine con un paio di pianticelle di resina, un cagnolino e una bellissima panchina di fili di ferro smaltato.

The doll house was purchased for correspondence by Del Prado Editore divided into periodic files which contained sheets of balsa wood with guideline shapes for each furniture and structural elements and also wallpapers and cardboard for the roof.
All the furniture was hand-made by cutting the individual shapes from the balsa sheets, then assembled and glued and finally colored with temperas.
The structure was also cut from the pre-shaped sheets, mounted and glued. The rooms were then covered with wallpapers. Windows have been incorporated interlocking and adorned with lace curtains.
Roof is composed by individual rows of tiles of cardboard superimposed on each other.
Stairs were assembled piece by piece and glued than was added on each one a runner carpet, also the chimneys were fitted and then painted with tempera colors.
The front facade was decorated with a couple of seedlings of resin, a dog and a beautiful bench of enamel coated iron wire.

Ho osservato con attenzione alcuni particolari della vostra casa per trovare soluzioni ai problemi di costruzione che sto riscontrando... La facciata ed il tetto mi danno qualche grattacapo!
